From September 9th to 12th, 2027, Altstätten will become the vibrant center of Swiss folk music. Various accommodation options are available around the festival for those traveling with their band, friends, or family.
Particularly attractive: Altstätten itself offers affordable group accommodations within walking distance of the festival grounds, as well as a spacious camping area with a shuttle bus directly to the festival village. At the same time, numerous accommodations in the surrounding region offer a convenient alternative thanks to good public transport connections.
Camping area with shuttle to the festival village
A spacious, supervised and monitored camping area is being created on the common land on the outskirts of Altstätten for the EVMF 2027. Whether with a tent, caravan, campervan or motorhome – different needs will be met here.
Showers and toilets are available for your comfort. A shuttle bus connects the campsite directly to the festival village. This allows you to leave your vehicle parked during the festival while still being easily and conveniently right in the heart of the EVMF action.

Affordable and located in the heart of Altstätten: Mass accommodation
Those who want to experience the festivities up close will find simple and inexpensive sleeping accommodations in civil defense shelters and gymnasiums in the immediate vicinity of Altstätten's old town.
The accommodations include beds or mattresses, showers, and toilets, and are staffed throughout the festival weekend. The festival grounds are easily accessible on foot.
This means that the mass accommodations offer a straightforward and cost-effective way for music groups, clubs and groups to stay overnight directly in Altstätten.

Hotels and guesthouses in the region
Hotel and guesthouse capacity in Altstätten itself is limited. However, the region surrounding Altstätten is well-developed. Accommodation options on Lake Constance, in St. Gallen, in Appenzell, in Werdenberg, or towards Sarganserland offer attractive possibilities for staying overnight in the region while still being able to reach the EVMF quickly.
Thanks to excellent public transport connections, Altstätten is easily accessible from the surrounding regions. Additional night services are also being considered for the EVMF (European Transport Association). Detailed connections and timetables will be announced at a later date. Visitors to the Northeast Swiss Yodeling Festival were also able to travel by public transport until late at night, including to St. Margrethen, Buchs, and the Appenzell region. The EVMF is currently examining which additional services can be offered.
